Update

Here's some of what I've learned and experienced over the past 42 days:

• Viewed dog surgeries at the Humane Society
• Found out that an orphanage in Uganda has Kansas City connections
• Learned the name of a star player on the Boston Celtics
• Realized that a dollar can buy 5 meals
• Met firemen and policemen (you never know when that could come in handy)
• Gift wrapped, dined, given away a blanket, and bought a turkey that I didn't have to cook
