Day 44 - A Reason for Giving



Tzedakah is a moral obligation.  There was a timely need to help with the international effort in dealing with the largest forest fire in Israel's history, in the mountains near Haifa.  The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, with its emergency fund, has helped with relief efforts as a result of the devastating fires.  Along with countries from four continents who sent help to Israel, we emptied our tzedakah boxes for this crisis.
