Day 80 - CANstruction 2011

There are 2 ways to see the creativity, ingenuity, generosity, (and, in one case, the fragility) of teams of architects, engineers and contractors in town.  Either go to the Ward Parkway Center in Kansas City, MO, by February 8 or check out this link CANstruction for Harvesters by February 9.  People in our area are going to eat from donated cans, bags, bottles and boxes of nonperishables that have been stacked, suspended, shaped, and lined up in formation as part of the most ingenious structures on display.  At a preparty which anyone could attend for a donation (I did), winners in the first round of judging were announced. Then you, blog readers, can vote on-line for the People's Choice Award, CANstruction for Harvesters.  It will cost you a $1 donation per vote for Harvesters which will buy 5 meals toward the 66,000 provided per week in our 26-county area. Watch the website because one of our winners could make it to the national or international CANstruction competition.  You CAN help!
