Day 107 - Girls Night In

For the 6th time, the University of Kansas Hospital held a fundraiser for A Change of Heart, their women's heart health program.  Over 900 women (and a trickling of men) sipped red cosmos, networked, and then scurried to find what was in the stuffed gift bags this year.  We tasted guilt-free, heart-healthy food, creatively and authentically prepared by the Hyatt Hotel using Lisa Lillien's 'Hungry Girl' cookbook recipes.  Most wore various shades of Red in honor of American Heart Month.  Having attended 4 of the last 6 KU Girls Night Ins, I can say that they're the most well organized, well advertised, well attended and, if you're paying attention, most informative evenings that could possibly save lives.  Can't wait to hear who the celebrity guest is in 2012.
