Lions Clubs International has partnered with Walmart Vision Centers in collecting new and used prescription and non-prescription glasses for their eyeglass recycling program. It costs Lions less than 8 cents a pair (that's mind boggling knowing the cost of a pair of new glasses) to recycle glasses for someone with vision impairments. According to statistics, there are 153 million people out there who are in need of eye corrective lenses. For reading, working, knitting, or studying a pair of glasses means a better quality of life. Look in one of the 2500 Walmart Vision Centers for a Lions/Walmart free-standing collection box near their entrance.
