So recognizable is the Hungry Girl brand that the author, Lisa Lillien, and her cartoon image have a show on the Cooking Channel, 5 cookbooks for sale, and a daily email blast for the hungry and guilt-free wannabes. I was guilt-free in buying her "200 under 200" cookbook because 10% of the sale from Rainy Day Books was donated to A Change of Heart, a program at the University of Kansas Hospital for women's heart health. Let's see, should I start with the peachy-cream fruity fondue, page 130 (45 calories) or the buffalo chicken chop salad wrap, page 175 (199 calories)?
One could make the first 10 recipes in this cookbook and still be within a day's calorie requirement. |
