Day 164 - Taco Bell & Teens

Mark Wahlberg was a 14-year-old junior high school dropout.  At 16, he was in jail.  Then he became Marky Mark, a rapping hip-hop star.  In the 1990's, he was Calvin Klein's ripped and muscled underwear model.  Becoming an actor made him even more famous in films like The Basketball Diaries and Boogie Nights.  And then he had an epiphany.  He and his family created a foundation, the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation to help with funding and services for wayward teens.  That foundation teamed up with the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens to inspire teens to stay on the straight and narrow and graduate high school.  During the month of April, a $1 donation at Taco Bell (and in my case, plus a burrito) was matched up to a million dollars for providing mentors and motivation for teens.
