Day 187 - Thyme for Kids

Like their sign below says, Ozanam has been helping children and families since 1948.  It is part of Cornerstones of Care, agencies that provide therapeutic treatment and services.  The more than 70 kids living on the 96-acre Ozanam campus, boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. put on an annual plant sale fundraiser called Thyme for Kids.  They sell all kinds of flowers, annuals and perennials, vegetables and herbs as part of their Horticultural Therapy Program at Ozanam.  The belief is that, "spending time in the greenhouse gives boys and girls the opportunity to nurture living things aned develop a sense of accomplishment watching their plants flourish."  The proceeds from the herb plants I purchased benefitted the Horticultural Therapy Program.
